- The firm represented the successful applicant in negotiations with the City of Chicago for the award of the then largest competitive franchise ever granted in the cable television industry. The firm subsequently represented the company in the negotiations and award of additional franchise areas.
- The firm represents an academic medical center located in Chicago on Certificate of Need applications, and related matters, before the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board.
- The firm represented the joint venture formed by the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks concerning the construction of the United Center Stadium. This representation included negotiations with the City of Chicago for a master Redevelopment Agreement (and various subsidiary agreements) concerning the construction of the new facility, city and state infrastructure issues, land acquisition, the relocation of homeowners, the construction and resale of replacement homes and other city/community related issues.
- The firm has served as counsel to the Illinois State Treasurer for general administrative matters, investment practices and policies, investment contracts and intergovernmental matters.
- The firm represented the developer selected by the City of Chicago to perform a historic renovation of a landmark hotel in the central business area. This representation included the negotiations of a Redevelopment Agreement, interacting with City departments, managing the permit process and negotiations with contractors.
- The firm represented the developer/design/build team formed to design and construct the McCormick Place South Building expansion. This representation included the negotiation of City and State infrastructure issues, street and alley vacations and dedications, utility and public right-of-way issues, code issues regarding the application of public safety ordinance and extensive interaction with City departments regarding a wide range of project-related issues.
