Mr. Placencia concentrates in the area of commercial litigation, focusing his practice on business-related disputes in both federal and state courts, at the trial and appellate level, and in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association. He concentrates in the areas of construction defect and design defect litigation, Mechanics Lien litigation, real estate, employment, trademark, securities, and business matters involving embezzlement, fraud and misrepresentation. He has also litigated injunctive proceedings in a number of the aforementioned areas. Mr. Placencia represents a diverse group of the firm's clients which include general contractors, real estate developers, steel and metal industry clients, restaurant owners, banking corporations and a real estate title insurance company. Mr. Placencia's previous work experience includes the defense of corporations in construction, product liability, insurance coverage and transportation litigation.
