Mr. Dienner concentrates in civil litigation and appellate work, representing clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
Mr. Dienner’s litigation practice covers business issues of many types, including contract, partnership, employment discrimination, insurance and construction disputes. His clients include public school districts, construction companies and private businesses. He also regularly represents parties in the securities industries in matters involving non-solicitation agreements and investor complaints in arbitration and reparation proceedings before FINRA (formerly NASD), the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Dienner is also a registered arbitrator with FINRA. He also represents attorneys before the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.

Mr. Dienner is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States Tax Court. He has been admitted to the trial bar of the United States District Court since its inception.
Mr. Dienner is a member of the Corporate Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and is on the CBA referral panels for securities matters, attorney fee disputes and attorney discipline matters.

Mr. Dienner began his legal career clerking for United States District Court Judge Julius J. Hoffman. He was later appointed as an Assistant States Attorney for Cook County, Illinois where he served as Chief of the Federal Litigation Division for five years and General Counsel for the Cook County Hospital System for two years. He entered private practice in 1981, joining the law firm of Pierce, Lydon, Griffin & Montana. He later was associated with Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, a San Francisco-based international law firm with offices in Chicago, before joining Kubasiak, Fylstra, Thorpe & Rotunno, P.C. in 1997.
